Every year, thousands of talented students across Africa dream of studying abroad. But the process is often expensive, confusing, and fragmented.
Many students miss life-changing opportunities simply because the right information is hard to find. GoScholar AI was created to solve this problem.
Yet many African students face major barriers — and instead of a clear roadmap, they're left navigating scattered advice and unreliable information.

We watched talented classmates give up on studying abroad — not because they weren't qualified, but because the process felt overwhelming.
Information was scattered across the internet. Consultants were expensive. And many students simply didn't know where to start.
We built GoScholar AI to make the path simpler, clearer, and more accessible.
Ebenezer Ayisi grew up in Ghana from humble beginnings, where opportunities to study abroad often seemed reserved for students who could afford expensive consultants.
Many families in his country paid thousands of dollars to consultants to help their children gain admission to universities abroad. Without the financial means to do the same, Ebenezer had to navigate the complex study-abroad process on his own — spending countless hours researching schools, scholarships, and application strategies while taking loans to support parts of the journey.
Along the way, he saw many talented friends give up on their dreams of studying abroad because the process was too confusing, expensive, or difficult to navigate.
But Ebenezer didn't give up.
Through persistence and extensive research, he eventually earned a full scholarship to attend Berea College.
While at Berea, Ebenezer gained experience in the finance and technology industries, including an internship at Goldman Sachs on Wall Street. After graduating, he went on to work as a software engineer at Bank of America.
During this time, he began helping other African students navigate the same journey he had gone through. Through mentorship and guidance, several of his friends gained admission and scholarships to universities such as:
Seeing how many students struggled with the same challenges he once faced inspired Ebenezer to build GoScholar AI.
His goal is to create a platform that makes studying abroad cheaper, simpler, and more accessible for African students — using technology and AI to guide students through the process step by step.
